Christelle Degard from Aresb, replication lead of REMOURBAN, presented our project and the sustainable strategy of the city of Seraing (Belgium) at "Smart and Living City 2016", international conference held in Luxembourg on November 24rd.
During her intervention Christelle presented the roadmap of the city of Seraing towards the implementation of its smart city strategy, by establishing a parallel with the city of Växjö (Sweden). The two cities are different in terms of history, population profile and urban environment.
Nevertheless, they share a similar a long-term vision aimed at enabling a sustainable development based on smart technologies.
This year’s edition of “Smart and Living City 2016” has had a strong focus on the Internet of Things (IoT), and the new technological applications applicable to the management of urban waste and to the delivery of services to citizens. The event also offered to services providers the opportunity to showcase their technological solutions for sustainable development. At the same time solution providers could also interact with representatives of smart cities to better comprehend their needs.
